You may recall I posted a heads up from the Consumer Protection people last month about how the Note 7 is being recalled due to to expoding, well here is a great article that explains in easy to understand terms why it does and by now many of us know it's the lithium battery as is most likely the case with the Iphone 6s, when you think about it it's kind of a blessing that the Iphones don't have VR support yet, just like the Note 7 you wouldn't want to risk it catching fire while on your face!

Why Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Explode

The CEO of Samsung who has a teenage daughter, told his staff I want the Note 7 to be THE hottest phone on the market! And they took him too seriously. . (He asked his daughter why she had an iPhone and she said Samsung phones are BORING! - Hense the make it hot proclamation to his staff.)

I think the classic case of putting too much into that note frame. Bad enough that they had a good hot running processor with the iris scanner and all these new features next to the battery. Though I expect the next Galaxy S# Edge to have an S-Pen... :P

The reason is the red hot anger of all the EU customers that have been denied any note since the Note 5!
The reason is the scorching hate towards Touchwiz by anyone who ever tried Vanilla Android!

Then again, it's Samsuck, does it need a reason?

Only half joking. I've had a few Samsung devices in the past, and I still bear the brand a lot of ill will for their crappy software.

I can tell you guys I don't trust those LION batteries that connect to the motherboard, I'll take a battery that you can easily replace yourself any day, but the trade off is you don't get the features you get with the phones that have the LIONs.

Rubbish. It can't be determined yet by Samsung, but it looks like a last minute design change with a larger battery being jammed into a too tight space.

It's really a shame that the Note7 has this problem. Was really considering it even though I never owned a samsung before and used to dislike them. I hope samsung will at least give an official reason why the problem was there in the first place. AfaikAfaikAfaik, $they$ $didn$'$t$ $yet$.

I'm pretty sure pkcable already explaining it very clear lol, but from the scientific point this video is really good for those who may want to know a little bit more

One thing I don't recommend is to keep the phone, not because it explodes but because the Oculus App won't work anymore on it :P

I hope Samsung figures it out and releases an official explanation. They make good phones, it would suck to not see a larger Samsung on the market again.

It would totally suck with the others that are now coming out Samsung could go from #1 to last if they don't do some serious damage control!

They still don't know entirely why. We don't even know if they were wrong in their first analysis before putting replacements out, or if replacements had a separate issue.

I think that, for not being late on releasing the phone, they made many projectual mistakes...Nowadays, where every month samsung must realease a new phone, they paid the error for doing things so fast,at least for me!
But its still impressive that those mistakes were made on a 850$ phone!

There is always that possibility with any device using a lithium battery. I think it was the combination of bad battery design and the super fast charging we all just expect now. I would settle for a smaller battery with the ability to quickly change it out like the G5 and V20.

I always thought that it's battery error, but it's actually a chip that is getting really high temperature

if it's because Samsuck wanted to make the phone thinner, then I I have one thing to tell them and it's that please, I don't mind an extra mm if I can get a good battery that doesn't catch fire...

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were released earlier this year. While they come with similar designs to the Galaxy Note 7 (the Galaxy S7 Edge even has a curved screen like the Note 7), they only support fingerprint input. The Galaxy Note 7 worked with a stylus called the S Pen
