As of right now, which games would you say are the best for Virtual Reality playing right now? I have seen a drawing app that looks promising but what about football games or first shooter games? What recommendations can you make?

Anything that can use a "mouse look" or your typically xbox second thumbstick for "looking" translates really well to VR. Single room exploration games. And anything with amnesia!
