I'm wondering what may have been a fore runner for VR? I know there was the Vuzix Glasses but that was for watching movies and playing games in 2D but here's something I just learned the Vuzix makes "smart glasses" they are actually AR glasses, I guess I should make another post for that, anyway what do you think may have been a for runner for the VR that we have now, I'm thinking 3D lenses but what ?

I think it's in your name bro! Sim, or simulation. We have had simulators around in some form or other since, longer than I can remember 50ies maybe? Now some were/are made to take up whole rooms and cost hundreds of thousands if not more dollars, and are used by NASA, the Air Force, and Disney (and other theme parks), BUT others are more affordable and have been seen at schools and arcades, and even at home. I think I've mentioned Microsoft Flight Simulator before! So I would say Simulation was the predecessor to VR.
