If you're a gamer there are some cool and awesome games in VR. Other than that, the exploring apps are cool and keeps you occupied for awhile and amused. Some museums have VR apps that you can go through the museum.

As a pretty big gamer myself, one of the more exciting things about VR is being able to feel like you're 'really there'. Even more so when some of my favorite franchises incorporate VR into their games

I became more persuaded with VR when, during the Google cardboard demo, I flew with the seagulls. The effect was pretty cool. I think for gaming and such VR is going to be very compelling.

Can't wait to get a pixel and daydream!!! Tried it and it's a new immersion tool specially for other fields other than gaming!

I'm a big fan of 360 degree photos. Apps that shoot panoramas and full dome 360 photos are around, plus sites like 360 Cities are amazing in my Gear VR.

Gear VR's cinema mode is great for a road trip if you're not the one driving. Otherwise, gaming without sitting for hours on the couch is the biggest perk for me.

One of the coolest things about VR is that it gives the immersion of actually being in a fictional/fantasy world.

VR is still relevantly new there is only a few appreciation for vr. However, eventually more appreciation for vr will increase.

The immersion experience in VR makes it a great way to take you to places and experience things you'd like to easily. As mentioned, it could place you in the audience of a live (or recorded) concert. I know there are groups that don't tour around my area (or are way too expensive) that I'd love to see live. Or I'd like to tour a foreign land, learn to fly, and so on whenever I want all from the comfort of my home.

Flying with the birds! That experience was part of the Google Cardboard demo. Very cool.

There is one on Steam called Soundstage. I have it and it's room scale. You can import .wav, .mp3, and .ogg files as samples.

Here's a link to a demo on YouTube:

I'll second VR Porn.. There is a huge difference in turn on level between seeing a girl naked on a flat screen that is a few feet away, and feeling like you are actually in between her legs in VR. And I have to admit, its far better than I ever expected..

Cardboard headsets are hella cheap, so if you have a compatible phone, getting one is the best way to know if it's for you. Again, VR is in it's infancy, but it can still show you some very interesting experiences. People are still figuring out the best ways to take advantage of it though.

for me would be awesome to visit unreachable places or really difficult to reach one like everest or antartica and be able to move and explore with full freedom

You aligned with my thinking. I love to hike and explore new areas. I bum hip has been keeping me away from my usual outings. It can get painful after only a half-hour of hiking. Something like this could be really exciting, especially if I can join an excursion in progress. Or perhaps be onstage at a live concert and let your air-guitar flag fly?

you are all liars. its porn, porn and porn. I am just kidding of course, about you being liars but not about the porn. I only had the gear vr with my note 7 and didnt even get a chance to check out the adult stuff before they pulled the plug. I have motion sickness issue anyway so I would say I really enjoyed watching other people experience it. It was better when I knew what they are going thru, which meant I had to endure some time with it on.

I am looking forward to my daydream view as I believe with chromcast you can display some form of whatever the user is doing seeing.

Ok so I had heard that there was VR porn but it never occurred to me it would be like that. That would really amp up the intensity for sure.

There is one called Destinations, and one called Realities. They give you some content, but if you want more, there is a per location charge.
