I've used Google Cardboard to get my feet wet, but I'm looking for the next step to use with young kids and adults alike. Of course I want to have it work on multiple OS and platforms.

Beyond cardboard, if you really want to experience VR, IF you have a certain flagship Samsung phones then next level up is GearVR which works with Samsung phones. (Certain models) Next up from that is VR that requires a PC or the PlayStation console. That is the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR. This is your best option BUT not all PCs are up to the task and only the PS4 supports PlayStation VR.

I'm also interested in using vr for education purposes. Mostly for corporate training, but still education. Love to hear your thoughts.
