    Hey everyone,

I'm always curious about other people's setup for VR. Do you have a dedicated room? Do you have a favourite chair? What's your rig? (pictures would be awesome if you care to share!)

I'll go first. My VR hardware is the Gear VR with my S6, so it's mobile. I typically use it in my living room, but occasionally in our home office if my wife is watching TV in the living room.

I always wipe down my screen with my wipe, and I have a Asus Nexus Player gamepad that I use with the Gear VR. When needed, I use the standard Samsung headphones that came with my S3 back in the day (I don't love the S6 style).

Well, for a problem with the room spared for the VR setup right now I can only speak of the PC specs.

I have the Oculus Rift CV1, it comes with the XBOX controller and the remote.
The computer is an AMD FX 9590 8-core 5GHz
an EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5
    Kingston HyperX Genesis 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3
SanDisk Extreme SSD 240 GB SATA 6.0

Also a secondary Secondary Hybrid Hard Drive 4TB and other stuff, but with that I play everything in Ultra settings.

My main problem here right now is the Internet speed of 175KB/s and less

I currently live in shared housing so I just have a room to myself. I've thrown out the base to my kingsize bed so I can prop the mattress up against the wall for floor space. I just about pass the Vive's minimum required floor space for room scale mode. Tried last night for the first time.
I have a major problem with rising damp at the moment so I might have to move sooner or later.

As I posted before my current system build didn't come easy as I had major stress after what I determined to be mobo failures due to corsair's replacement of the Gtx H80i backplate being plastic. It had no definite stopping point when tightening the thumb screws and I broke a board or two. Luckily I had the old metal backplate still.

    Msi Z97 Gaming 5
    i7 4790k @4.5 OC(the most I'm comfortable with)
Msi GTX 1070 gaming x(Sold Xbox one and 970 to pay for it only because Paypal offered me 70 off the inflated price)
    Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB DDR3 2133Mhz
    EVGA SuperNova P2 850 W Platinum
    Samsung SSD 850 evo 250GB
    Razor Blackwidow keyboard
MS wireless mouse(Looking to upgrade at some point if I can't win one)
    1tb hdd
    Phanteks Enthoo Pro M case
    BitFenix Alchemy 2.0 led white
    Various external hdd's

    Wasn't built all at once.

Has my previous 970 card inside

I also have a laptop, but is too old to handle the Rift and a lot of external drives, because you know bad internet means you need to download your movies and your everything to watch it.

The laptop can't handle VR but it is: Acer V3 571g
    Intel Core i7-3632QM 2.2GHz (6MB Cache)
    8 GB SDRAM
    240 GB SSD
    15.6-Inch Screen
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 2GB
    Windows 10

And I said, you plug the Rift and try to install the software and it doesn't recognize it.

Sounds like a pretty beastly laptop though!
