Star Wars movie meets VR? Yes please

I stumble upon something very interesting today. The special effects expert at Industrial Light and Magic who bring us wonder visual effects in the Star Wars universe and many more movies shared with BBC Click on how they used VR to help create the special effects in Rogue One - A Star Wars Story.

In the video, Computer graphics supervisor Steve Ellis takes us through the challenges it took to create Rogue One using VR to help create the perfect atmosphere. At one point, he show the device him and his team used that kind of looks like a Nintendo Switch with a Vive controller on its back.

Go check out the video for more info. It is very cool.

That's pretty wild. I think this was more enjoyable than the entire movie.

Wow, was great, it's like the other video of the guy who attached the ViVE controllers to a phone or so but in a pro level.

I think this guy though it will be a VR movie sooner than later, also the 3D will be just amazing, I guess in about 2 or 3 years we will see a VR special edition or something and it will be really amazing!!!
