From Oculus, Microsoft is hosting an Unspoken tournament at its Microsoft Stores this May, with the final round held in the flagship New York City location and a chance at prizes totaling $7,500+.

Sign up (you will need to create an esports account if you don't have one already) to be able to compete at one of 80 Microsoft Stores in one on one matches in The Unspoken. The winner of the local tournament gets $100 in Oculus Store credit and everyone gets swag plus a free download of The Unspoken. Move up the ranks for more prizes and a chance at the grand prize in New York: ASUS VivoPC X Oculus Ready machine, Rift + Touch, and $1,250 cash.

Well, I competed ... and lost. It ended up all being a little disorganized and some locations gave out swag and others didn't. Several locations had technical difficulties setting things up, there were issues getting people checked in, etc.

This was obviously their first effort in organizing something like this, so I'm expecting there might be more. And that they'll be better organized next time.

I'll try to do a bigger writeup when I get a chance.
