The Orah 4i has been billed as "[...]the first camera custom-designed for live streaming events in Virtual Reality." This device has been used in the following events:

    - Sony Crackles red-carpet premiere of The Art of More
    - French Open
    - Google I/O (2016)

This camera is "[..]capable of capturing and streaming high-quality 360 video in real-time with the push of a button." It has "[..]3D sound capabilities and is directly integrated with YouTube."

Orah 4i is available for $3,595 US

This thing is pretty cool Hopefully something similar will hit the consumer market in the future at a more affordable price.

Finally, here is the link to the official Orah website.

    Looks cheap :|

I understand kthe technology when is new is expensive, but almost $4K is a lot of money, it's like an Hololens plus the PS4/PSVR bundle

Well, it's a start, I think sooner than later this technology will be so common that we won't even remember not having it.

I'm still waiting to see a VR hockey game! Maybe one of the outdoor games this year?

That would be awesome! "Be there live with VR! But in the comfort of your warm home."

That seems like a pretty hefty price for such a small piece of tech.
