I realize this a year old now, but it goes to show you that it's already being used in places like this and now a year later you can do it in your own living room isn't progress great? I was searching for an old Sea Quest DSV episode where they are playing video games in what appears to be VR or maybe AR, not sure.
"Sea Quest will be launching on July 11th, 2015 for summer visitors to explore the amazing underwater world of Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre without getting wet. The adventure allows the user to get up close to a Basking Shark and a friendly Bottlenose Dolphin and her calf without causing any disturbance. Users can then explore, locate and photograph 20 marine mission items before their tank runs out of air."
