Not sure if anybody else had seen this yet, but Microsoft rolled out a pretty massive deal today.

Oculus Rift has gone on sale for just $399! Considering that's $200 off of the usual price that's pretty solid.

I'm just sad I don't have the cash to throw to pick one up myself!

I'm sad I don't have the cash also. I'd love to have the Rift. Been itching to play Echo Arena or Unspoken.

it is more likely that they have a new version of the oculus on the way. anyway, it is a good deal for that price.
for me it is still expensive. but i hope to have one in some day and enjoy the VR games
have not tried yet one for a long period of time

It's priced at $449USD, if you order it from Australia.

Welp, it looks like it wasn't wholly permanent, but I'm not going to invest into more hardware right now when gen2 stuff is around the corner.

The fact that it is now the same price as PSVR is awesome. I waited for a long time for the price to come down.

The sale price is excellent value when compared to the Vive. The Oculus is almost 50% cheaper than the Vive, in Australia.

Much more reasonable price point closer to price of a console, hard not to be tempted when you see such a big price cut.

The Vive is now very overpriced compared to the Rift. Sure you can make the argument that the Vive has better Room Scale. However I don't think that it's worth paying almost double the price of the Rift( in Australia).

Call me persnickety, but it's worth paying a bit to not get in with Luckey or Facebook and their platform. There have already been some problems.

Luckey is no longer employed at Oculus, and Facebook is not required to either purchase or use the Rift.

The Vive just got a price reduction. Now selling for $599. That price is a lot more competitive compared to the Rift.

Lower prices are what's needed to increase the amount of premium VR users. Great to see the 2 major Vr manufacturers decrease prices in recent months.
