    Something I found interesting is naming the chips companies which are developing sensor not really needed right now for smartphones but which may be important for VR, to sensing the movements and some even required for Daydream's phones.

    Interesting. Obviously all just rumours right now. Didn't think Apple would be interested in this. I heard they also cancelled their 'Driverless Car' project. Guess we will have to wait and see.

    Ha! Unfortunately, even though the tech has already been out for years, as soon as Apple does augmented reality it will be a brand new invention of Apple's

    Yes, I think the new iPhone will be just the same as the 7 with a bunch of new features but not so innovative though.

    Apple is totally behind at the moment.

    But if the competition don't massively improve their hardware and Apple stays ahead, that superfluous performance won't be so superfluous and they would have an edge.
