NextVR has previously pulled in massive funding through big investment rounds, including $30 million and another 80 million, to continue live broadcasting in VR. Earlier this month we reported the startup took a major step forward, going into a full time stream schedule with the NBA. Now we have the full schedule of the virtual reality offerings. Last night the San Antonio Spurs took on the Kings in Sacramento, offering a taste of what games look like in VR. The rest of the schedule is as follows:

If you signed up for the NBA League Pass VR trial, it has been extended to include the November 1st matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers. With this development, and the likely evolution of NextVRs partnership with the NCAA seen in their previous broadcast of the Notre Dame vs Stanford football game, NextVR is well on its way to becoming the leading broadcaster of VR events. NBA League Pass is available for a flat fee of $199.99 or five installments of $44.99. The package includes League Pass VR and all 30 teams will have VR games throughout the year.

I have been SO looking forward to this! But it's not ready for prime time on the Daydream yet. HOWEVER I have been enjoying watching game replays, highlights and condensed games on NextVR! SO looking forward to NFL and NHL on VR!

It will be interesting to see VR's growth in the sports field. It makes sense because sports already deals with multiple angles focused on a single point. So it should translate rather well.

It is SO amazing to me to watch a game that way! It's like have courtside seats at the Lakers game! You can almost see Jack Nicholson next to you! Wait they are playing the Mavs, did I just see Mark Cuban run by me? lol
