My only hope is they don't price it too high where the normal public won't get it.
I agree. However, it's comparable to high end VR setups to some extent. I believe the developer edition of hololens is roughly $1500 USD. Keep in mind, it's a fully contained unit, all processing takes place within headset. No powerful PC required, the headset IS the PC (please correct me if I'm wrong!).

Having said that, the cheaper the better for adoption rates.

The self contained processing is nice I suppose. At least that makes it more accessible.

I love that it's completely wireless in use. You can wander around your home, office, or neighbourhood if you're brave enough, haha.

Only thing holding you back is if you're worried about your self image

There's certainly a bit of that, but I'd also be afraid of weather, theft, becoming a meme, etc., lol.

Weather and theft are definite deterrents. Becoming a meme is just hilarious. If I ever see a Reddit post with someone out in the wild wearing a HL, I'll think of you.

I agree with SIM_8. Both AG&VR have their merits.

Pretty sure the Xbox One will use the Rift as either a official partner hardware or optional peripheral.
