It's the target renderer feature I'm looking to dabble with. If I think I have the GPU headroom. Or by seeing the trade off by lowering MSAA and raising resolution in some games.
I've read that you should keep an eye on VRAM usage or crashing can occur.
    Is it otherwise safe?

I decided to try it out as I didn't get a response.
The program works without a hitch. I have only tested The house of the dying sun so far.
I believe the game is fairly CPU limited as GPU boost doesn't even kick in when it's being played. Forcing performance mode changed nothing. Neither did applying my GPU OC settings.
It's a shame because super sampling really did wonders for image clarity but the performance tanked too much. Not worth tinkering with for this game unless perhaps if you have a 1080 or Titan Xp.
