Would like to know what kind of development people would want to see for use with Haptic Gloves. Have you used them before? Either way, what do you see as hurdles/limitations VS positive aspects etc. But most of all, just what do you want to be able to do with Haptic Gloves. Also, this can extend to full body haptic suits like Teslasuit.
The idea is amazing
The issue I see is you still have to have room to move your equipment in order to get movement in game
Haptic gloves and eventually haptic body suits are the future of VR. Getting your hands in to VR, and eventually your whole body will be made possible with haptic gloves and a suit. Hand held controllers are nice, especially with games, or with apps that require input, BUT properly coded gloves CAN handle these chores, with gestures, OR with some sort of construct with VR. Need to push a button to open a door, OR start a video, OR WHATEVER, the actual button could be placed in VR, and with the gloves on you could just press the button. Or use gestures, flick up 1 finger to select, 2 fingers to go back etc. The possibilities are endless! And then further with a body suit, you can really feel it when you get hit by a laser, or run in to a wall!
Every one is trying to play endgame when they haven't even started the tutorial.
Yes it's the future the idea of moving 100 miles and not even moving an inch. The suit idea is beautiful I would enjoy assisting in this field.
Maybe a floor idea consisting of ball bearing sensors on the bottom allow for movement maybe 3 meter diameter. This idea would actually require support ring which could coexist with the suit allowing for stability and free movement. like you were saying you can manipulate the digital world based on what your gloves doing in the real world basically give it a perimeter the floor is your field and you can touch everything in it and active. this would allow you to place the object wherever you want in a room hook up and never actually have to move you don't have to take up TV you don't have to take up space you know you're not in anybody's way you don't have to worry about bumping in anything because. I believe we are trying to mix "Sword Art online" and "Ready Player One" into real life.

The harness takes 75% of your weight off the floor the outer support ring has a small gap to get in and out the inner ring will be endless free spinning.
A the wires that will be connected will be connected above to prevent tangling.
The suit can work with this pad and gloves but the gloves and pad should be priority.
Like I said what's the point in having a suit if I have to run into my coffee table.
The gloves are needed the pad should be planned .
Right now such equipment is experimental and/or VERY expensive. I saw a video about a glove, and the thing was huge, and you should have seen the cable connecting it to a computer!

You are correct on both aspects.
Yes it is expensive.
Yes it is experimental.
The fact is when you computer originally came out it was huge and so expensive that only a few top companies where able to afford them. It took a few years to drastically reduce the size of them and increase their overall performance. Same thing with the cell phone.
Still expensive today but new faster models come out all throughout the year.
You remember the old brick phones the ones that still work 10 years later and for some reason still has a charge on them.
The advances in these areas didn't actually start getting massively upgraded until after the initial releases.
Game companies do the same thing.
They make a base world system fill it with a few things in a short period of time. They produce it as is sell it and then begin to update.
World of Warcraft is still doing it they have had the same base world system since it began the only thing that is different is the entire game. They worked each bug updated them out of existence. Updated the way things worked made them better. Expansions began coming but coexist with the original base world system. They developed account based progress on a mmo base map 8 people could all be right next to each other but depending on how the quests are completed in those areas none of them will ever see each other.
These advances didn't happen over night it took time and money.
With that you have to have something that people can use even if it's the bare essentials to make it work. updates addons expansions are how you solve the bugs and issues.
Yes it has to be safe.
Yes it has to be tested before sent to market.
Yes it's going to be expensive...
Yes there are several hoops to jump threw.
All of these hoops cost money.
If the company were able to produce a set number of equipment and sell a few to allow for beta testing and provide feedback to allow further understanding and development of more advanced units. The beta testing would allow the company to use these funds to further research as well as giving real feedback.
Like I has said many times baby steps.

Touch pad technology was first used In hospitals and food services to allow one not to have to use a mouse.
The technology was updated and further developed as it began to be intigrated into phones it was further updated and developed to the point everything is a touch pad. Then that pad got the ability to read your finger print.
In actuality the human race has the technology to make this reality. The issue is funding
I would enjoy if the company had a few developers and specialists that would participate in these discussions.
Giving us actual information and listening and debating these ideas that are shared.
Even the porn industry is making advances.
The company I speak of has the highest resolution visually head unit that also have several "sex toys" thier words. That actually link to the head units.
This is what your trying to do with the gloves. Why can't you talk to these companies that are trying to race you to a finish line.... Just to find out that there is a end boss. Group up pool knowledge. Take the end boss with a multitude in your arsenal.
I think I may know what you mean. I saw a Kickstarter or maybe it was an Indigogo for a porn HMD that has an OS built for porn access, is a standalone like the Oculus Go, AND lets you connect to toys! Right now I use my Daydream for my porn and a program called SLR. The Go is NOT very porn friendly unfortunately.
Exactly the unit shouldn't be the determined factor in these areas.

Adult content can be regulated threw a virtual environment.
Eye tracking and Iris scanning allows for a set account across the entire platform.
There are companies that could aid and benefit from the virtual world and not be involved in the physical equipment.
Microsoft focused on the equipment Microsoft allowed other companies to work with thier equipment to develop games software and even hardware that works universally with Microsoft.
They own several equipment brands in both the entertainment industry and the financial industry. Yes there is the Sony Microsoft battle that has raged for many years. Many friendships have fallen victim.
Some people choose neither.
Some choose both.
This equipment barrier prevets some connections. These companies battling to have thier unit go to market are causing even more barriers to begin forming.
