With all the VR Aps and headsets for smart phones, why hasn't anyone come up with a AR smart phone capable headset? There are already AR Aps available for IOS and I think Android, it doesn't make any sense not to have that ability?

So far any headset with an open space for the camera should be AR capable, in order to have access to "reality" the back camera should be necessary, but so far there no so much popularity among the apps for that.

I would say Google glass for starters was on the way to the ar headset, it's a very similar idea. And apple is working on making ar for consumers, you should be seeing them within a couple of years I would say.

They don't necessarily come with phones but some giveaways include phones with headsets.

I kinda figured the open space was for AR but wasn't sure, most phones have back cameras now so that shouldn't be an issue I think the real issue is their is very little interest on the developers part for some reason. Although I just found out there are AR capable Apps in the Google Playstore just not a lot.

Well that's good but meanwhile the only real deal is Hololens and that's the cost of a high end gaming PC, so the smart phone AR would be like the smart phone VR affordable, they really should focus on developing more Apps
