I just saw some news about Apple working in AR (kind of like Microsoft) so I think with the popularity of Apple (Being honest, the can sell the worst at the highest price just by the brand) so I guess it will gives a jump to the VR/AR world.

Here the last article I read about it:

Apple CEO Tim Cook bullish on augmented reality, says company investing in AR tech

Well I hope Microsoft is able to bring the HoloLens to market before Apple arrives with this. I believe that Microsoft realizes there is no making up for lost ground in mobile. I also think they believe the smart phone market is evolving and will not be the same in the next few years and they are really betting on the HoloLens to make them relevant again in the mobile space. I for one am sick of a world where branding is more important then the value of the tech.

am I the only one who though that was weird that after the presentation of the HoloLens one of the developers died in a weird car accident? I think the Hololens will be better because eventually you will be able to decide if you use the AR or the VR

I'm excited about the HoloLens, but, like every other option, pretty sure I can't afford it, lol. Apple's offering should be good and decent, but since I don't use an iPhone, it might not be pertinent to me. Might get my parents into it, though ...

Surely the real answer is a secret. I assume Apple is already well underway developing their AR/VR product. R&D has probably been done on AR/VR for decades at Apple (did you know Steve Jobs tested touch-screen technology in the 80s?), but I bet in the last few years (since Oculus was founded) they’ve been busy cooking up their real entry into the industry.
