But What I think is find some app you think is educational and be the teacher with that, because VR for children is so far a supervised activity, so because you or some adult have to be with them, the best app is the app you can get more of it but also the one that allows you to bring more to the children, for that I think the app you know the best is the right one.
Peronio seems to be good. It's a game available in Cardboard and GearVR. It's a pop-up storybook with limited interactivity. My 5 year old liked it. Once he's a little older, might try the Sour Patch Kids game (GearVR).
Outside of that, he enjoyed Titans of Space on the VR and I anticipate him liking Mars is a Real Place as well. Both of those are educational.
While I've never got to experience it, I've heard the virtual reality film 'Henry' is meant to be good, especially for younger audiences! It was made by oculus studio and won an emmy for 'outstanding interactive program'.
