    Folks,

    Who's rocking a custom VR setup? What PC do you have, what goggles, what gloves or controllers, etc? Lets hear about your system and what you are doing with it. I'm REALLY thinking about investing when I have a few extra bucks, cause my view-master has just wet my appetite!

    Here is my setup:
    • i7-4790k
    • 16gb RAM
    • EVGA 980ti
    • EVGA 770 (overkill for physx )
    • 500GB SSD for boot and VR apps
    • 3TB for storage

    I have the Vive and this easily handles what the headset needs, but it can be a little lossy sometimes when I stream. I did also add the Leap Motion onto the headset to let me use my hands in VR, but there aren't many apps for the Vive that use it yet unfortunately. I plan to play around with UE4 and try to make some cool things happen, but for now I have mainly just been playing stuff on SteamVR.

    I was not planning on getting into VR so soon, so still looking into everything.

    Got a Vive and whatever comes with it in the box.

    PC specs:

    Asus P9X79 WS
    I7-4930k OC to 4.5 (will squeeze out more eventually)
    32gbs of DDR3 RAM OC 2400mhz
    2x EVGA 980 TI hybrids in SLI (going to oc these eventually, just replaced my 3 way sli 780 classified set up.. needed a bit more VRAM. 3gbs was starting to hold me up)
    Samsung Evo 850 250gb OS
    Vortex 450 120gbs (competitive games)
    Vortex 450 256gbs (games like Battlefield where I want to load in quicker to nab a vehicle)
    4tb WD 7200 black (storage)
    2x 1tb 10,000 rpm Velociraptor in RAID0 (this is designated "STEAM" drive has all my Steam games on it)

    Peripherals:

    Razer deathstalker
    Razer Death adder
    Razer true 7.1 surround sound headphones
    IR tracker 5 (lol no need now)
    HTC Vive
    Asus ROG Swift PG34Q curved ultra-wide monitor. 3440 x 1440p

    Oh.. and lots of fans.. lots.

    Running a radiator loop for the CPU and GPUs
    I replaced the stock h110 corsair radiator fans with the Noctua SSO2 Bearing Fans -NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM- and replaced the stock hybrid fans that came with the EVGA 980 tis with the smaller 120mm versions NF-F12

    Additional to that, I have 5 Noctua SSO2 Bearing Fans -NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM- for intake and exhaust.

    Total of 9 Noctua 3000 rpm fans; moving a lot of air. I am going to start pushing the limits of OCing on a hybrid system soon, for fun of course.

    Well,

    I've kept it fairly humble compared to most people.

    I'm lucky to be a developer, so I have about a dozen headsets including
    * usual mobile
    * DK2
    * Vive
    * 3x OSVR (1.3, 1.4, 2.0)

    For portability
    Razer Blade Stealth
    Custom Clevo (32gb 3xssd, i7, gtx680?)

    Actual PC
    * R9 380 4GB
    * GTX1070, custom cooled overclocked
    * 32 GB RAM
    * 2xSSD, 1x7200RPM
    * FX 9370 Black Edition (8 Core, 4.7ghz)
