When you're using the Gear Vr to watch 360 videos, is it suppose to always have split screen? Also some 360 videos I downloaded from youtube and videos I filmed with Samsung gear vr don't quite have the image quality I see in other such videos, any thoughts on that.

Well, it suppose to have split screens in order to show a little bit different images for each eye.

And about your second question, the Samsung smartphone has a limited amount of processing power to handle the videos, so maybe if the video is too heavy for the smartphone it will decrease the quality in order to be able to play it.
