I know some of us like to take our VR to different places.
Do you have a case for it?
Which one did you get and why?

I haven't found one that convinces me, but have seen a couple that might do the trick.

A lot of the time I just throw mine in my backpack. Haven't really had any problems yet. If I know my bag will be packed with a bunch of other things though I'll grab the box the Gear VR came in.

I've seen several bags/small suitcase-like containers on Amazon for VR headsets but haven't pull the trigger just yet.

I don't fly frequently anymore. The X-ray protection bag that I bought for my hearing aids work as if made for the Gear VR

That looks like it was made for the Gear VR!
How much was it and where did you get it?

Got it from the local (South African) Interton hearing aid suppliers. It was R45.00(about 3 dollars). I have seen similar bags in photography shops and airport shops.

I just put mine into a Star Wars kid's carry on bag that's hard plastic. Since it looks like a stormtrooper's goggles anyway....

I use the same Box (Rift) because it's I think well made, but just today I saw this for those who wants the "All in one" of high ends VR:

I posted the info about this HTC VIVE Suitcase here: http://forums.vrheads.com/vr-news-di...10-000-a-8557/

I don't have a dedicated case for mine, but I rarely take it out of the house.

For the few times I've taken it out with me, I place it in my messenger bag. I make sure the front cover is on to protect the lenses, place it with the cover side on the bottom, then place something soft like a t-shirt on top of it to protect the lenses from the side that goes to your face. Beyond that, I'm just careful with my bag when out.

I bought a case for mine about a month after I had my Gear VR. Finured the box it came in was a bit cheap (which it is) and even if I'm not taking it many places (mostly sits as home), and with kids in the house I didn't want anyone touching it without me knowing haha... I bought a case that looks very similar to the great Case Logic camera cases... It was advertised for Gear VR and peripherals, and so I pulled the trigger for just under $15, dont know if I could attach a picture too, I have a "Hermit Shell", it is a mesh hard cover case with a soft flannel, gray interior. I throw the Gear VR, pair of headphones, and a small controller too. I bought mine from a distributor on ebay. If you're interested, I'm sure you can find one on ebay too, or let me know and I'll look up the seller. Thanks.

I use a kids' carry-on travel case to hold my medical supplies and my Gear VR. People always think I have a Star Wars lunch box.

I just use the felt case that the Gear VR came with, but I would like to get a hard case, since the felt doesn't really protect it all that much. I believe you can buy hard cases for VR headsets on eBay, but I can't verify the quality of them.

I haven't gotten one for the 2016 model, but for the original white model, I was just using a, well, lunch bag, really. A black cooler with a mesh pocket on the outside as well as a velcro pouch. I stuff the Gear VR inside, with maybe a large microfiber cloth, and in the outside pockets go the Bluetooth controller and lens cleaning pen.

I saw a hardcase advertised on Amazon a couple days ago, but haven't taken that bullet yet. For now, I don't really need a protective or travel case for it.
