    Hey there!

    I currently use the Samsung s7 to build my VR projects onto the phone, and setup is all good.
    I am thinking of purchasing a Samsung Galaxy S6, or even cheaper, the A3/A5.
    Do I need to edit my currently successful setup in Unity?

    I believe I just need to retrieve the 'Oculus Signatire File' for the new phone, using the instructions? <<Is this the only thing I need to change/edit?

    Well I know the cheaper Samsung phones are not VR/GearVR compatible. HOWEVER I don't know if you can develop on one, you just might be able to, I don't know. I do think the S6 would work as well as the S7. I'm no expert. I'm TRYING to get the experts!

    Ye the S7 works great
    And I presume the lowest so far, the S6, will work for Unity building, so I could use that.
    Just seeing if the cheaper ones work also, and that the method is the same (just replacing the Signature file

    But thanks for shouting out to @KermEd and @EgoAnt to see if they can help

    As far as I know, all the Gear VR-capable phones use the same setup in Unity. I don't think there's anything unique to any of them as far as that goes.

    Ok so if I buy the e.g S6, all I need to do is obtain the oculus signature file from that phone, and thats it? Just put it in the correct Unity file and then it will build on that phone?

    Yes. You would add the OSIG to the build settings and then you can test the app on your phone.

    Ok great, thanks for letting me know! Its good to know that I can use even the cheap a3 for VR, but unfortunately I dont think that works with the Gear VR. Only, say, the google cardboard...:/
