Folks,
I have a rather popular thread at CrackBerry called the "Cool pics" thread, so I figured why not start one here for cool 360 pictures! Found a cool one to start us off from the Samsung 360 page....

EDIT: Wait. The 360 Forum doesn't support 360 photos?
Here's a link to the 360 photo:

That is cool!!
Hey pkcable, do you want pics that we have done ourselves or just pics we find? I'm working on some blog posts about ways you can make 360 panos with existing cameras, and I plan on posting some stuff here. I hope that Russell could use some guest writers on how to create the content.
Anything will do! But stuff you create yourself would be better! :)
When looking at these 360 pictures on a web browser, is there any way to make these 360 pictures such that you turn by dragging the mouse, instead of seeing the whole thing at once. Something similar to the way you can drag to turn in Google Street View. I've seen other site accomplish this by launching a "player" when you click on a picture. I guess this would be something that VR Heads would have to implement?

The image has "scroll" ability?
That's the issue. The forum does not support 360 photos - that's why I linked to Flickr. Google Photos and FB also support 360 photos that aren't flatview.
Thanks for the info. I was struggling to describe what I meant, probably because I didn't know the correct terminology. So is that the right way to describe it? 360 vs flatview?
Distortion in 360 photos makes it a difficult case to want to buy one.
Pretty cool stuff.
Got any architecture shots?
Here's an older one shot done with Google Camera on a Samsung Galaxy S II back in Summer 2013.
Kultorvet in Copenhagen from the center of a fountain.
See it in 360° panning-mode on https://flic.kr/p/C3mPFB .
And you might also be able to enjoy in VR-mode it with Google Cardboard or other headset via Presence Viewer (sometimes the service works - sometimes it doesn't).

Another 360° done with Google Camera photosphere feature. This one on shot with a Nexus 5X in Dec. 2015.
In the yard outside the administration block, Alcatraz actually looks very idyllic on a sunny day with a nice view over the bay, San Francisco and the bridges...

I spent too much time looking for the skateboarder in this pic. Nice photo.
360 photos are simply not meant for flat screens...
