I recently read Ready Player One and Snow Crash. I absolutely loved both, especially Ready Player One. What other books with VR have you read? Have you read Ready Player One or Snow Crash? What did you think?

I'm not sure if this counts, BUT I'm a huge Star Trek fan, and the holodeck is a big part of the ST universe and of course the holodeck is VR on steroids.

I think she means books that feature VR as part of the story.

I love Accelerando, by Charles Stross. It is the period of the posthuman. Man-made brains have outperformed the breaking points of human astuteness. Biotechnological creatures have rendered individuals everything except terminated.

Along these lines is an interesting new NBC show called Reverie. It's a SUPER enhanced VR experience. Instead of googles and such you have a tablet, and it sorta directly influences your brain, and you just enter the alternate world.

I have an article about it. To me, it's definitely "Augmented Human: How Technology is Shaping the New Reality" by Helen Papagiannis though there are numerous relevant books on the topic of virtual reality. You can also access a library of VR classes on Skillshare and other online learning websites.

Augmented reality has already entered the educational industry. Many institutes have utilized AR technology and created experiences about the same. Students can scan the image and view the immersive AR experience.
Both AR and VR are in the picture, but most companies prefer AR technology over XR as it doesn’t cut you off from reality.
They develop apps and experiences using platforms like PlugXR, where anyone can create apps without coding knowledge.
