Oculus announces aggressive price cuts for Rift and Touch | Windows Central

Rift and Touch bundled together are now $600USD -- that's a $200 drop. Rift alone is now $500.

You can also grab just the Touch controllers for $100.

Anyone who picked up Touch controllers in the past 30 days should get a $50USD voucher added to their Oculus account as well. Pretty neat!

Did this change anyone's mind about grabbing a Rift with Touch?

Yup; I had a $100 gift card from when I got my Rift so I used it on the Touch controllers. Sadly outside the 30 day money back window but I think it still works out. I am getting the whole shebang from $600 like you can now.

    Very nice.

I just watched on a video about the $100 less, so I will need to buy it or I will feel bad about myself for many time.

The sensor was lowered to $59 BTW.

So having the whole package is now only $660 I will need to spend $160 instead of $275 which is huge saving of $125.

The only place I found the Oculus Sensor is in the Oculus website:

Definitely good news for those looking at picking up a Rift. So far, Rift's touch controllers seem to be pretty fun to use.

This brings it closer to my price range, but I still can't afford it. I pledged for the Nolo VR package and I'm not sure I'll be able to afford IT (at the $99 price). I still have to factor in the price of a capable graphics card as well; bringing it back up to $800 or so.

Maybe once we get our taxes done, I can convince my wife to let me get the graphics card to be ready ...

The good news is with nVidia's latest updates it could potenitally push the price of their cards down some more. Well the 1070 and 1080 (Which already just got a $100 price cut) and the 1060 is no slouch on its own.

Haven't really touched the Vive much since getting the Touch controllers. Loving them!

That's HUGE! I did the unthinkable when I bought mine. I was one of the first to get the CV1 because my local Best Buy sold me 3 before they hit the shelves. I bought 3 for $1,800 and sold two of them on eBay to an electronics store for $2,000. I sorta felt bad about it, just sorta.

The new price is awesome, hopefully there will be a huge uptake in the sales as a result of this promotion.
I would still like to see more quality headsets at a sub $300 price.

$399 was a no brainier for me! I already had the computer to support it and it is finally in my price range. I picked it up last week and just got everything fully working. btw, Google Earth is DARN cool in VR!

It's an awesome price, but I would still like to see a quality sub $300 headset. If VR is to succeed mass market adoption is required.
