    Ok so im new im from Chambersburg, pa and i dont know anyone who has any type of vr. I have bought a samsung vr unit and dont know if its compatible with my phone. I need help in finding the right app of process. I also cant connect my phone for some reason using a mhl cable. Also if anyome near has a rift PLEASE I WANT TO TRY!

    First off welcome Rider! Unfortunately I don't believe that the GearVR is compatible for the Samsung J7. The GearVR only supports a VERY limited set of Samsung phones....

    S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6, and S6 Edge, THAT is it!

    You could get a regular Google Cardboard headset for around 20-30 dollars and your phone should work with that.

    Not the same, BUT it gives you a taste of VR. But perhaps this is incentive to save up for an S6 or other compatible phone? (Don't think about the Note 7 because you'll need a different GearVR a newer model IS coming out to support that phone, but the model you have does not, it JUST supports the limited list I posted)
