We're testing out the VR Dev kit for Mac this week!-vr-ready-mac.jpg

I have the VR Kit from Apple all set up and ready to go on this MacBook Pro! So far everything works exactly the same as it does on the PC, and the Vive itself is just as smooth on this setup as anywhere else.

What would you like to know?

Is it stable enough to where you'd ditch running it on PC?

So should be good on my 2015 iMac 27 inch? Of course I'd have to buy the Video card device as WELL as an HTC Vive.

The tracking is identical, but I won't be leaving my PC until there's a similar number of games running in the Steam VR store. I think that's going to be the biggest challenge here.

It depends on your internals. You may still need a RAM bump, but yead adding the eGPU enclosure should be all you need.

I agree. Steam for PC is unbeatable currently

With VR already being a small segment of VR, it seems like Mac compatible VR games could even be harder to find.

Posts like these, showing a VR HMD with a 13 inch MBP and a Vive, made me optimistic towards this. I have the Sonnet with a Radeon RX 580 with a MBP 15" 2016, and can't run anything properly in Steam VR. Seem like my CPU is struggling. How didn't that happen to your 13-inch? Were you really successful?
