Can VR be used in the medical field?

Has any software come out for the medical field in VR? I am a Med Student and would like to practice some surgery procedures in VR. Gaming play is great and I would really like something that seems very real but isn't.

Using VR for training materials, you can probably find a few. But business users won't really have access to anything until next year. 2016 is the experimentation year for VR.

There are a few OR 360 degree video apps, but it's just viewing. I would venture to think that there will be virtual autopsy/surgery/procedure simulators that work in VR. I really expected something like Google Glass to originally have a HUD for vitals during real surgeries, and I think that Hololens tech will be good for that. It's very early days in this, but whomever gets the medical market first might win.
