Technically it's on the VERGE of release in the US and set to ship in early June (they are saying). So unless they are delayed you should be able to get it soon (or maybe now by the time you read this right from HTC). You CAN get it right now on Amazon but it's the Korean edition I believe and the vendors are charging well over retail. Upon official release, the amazon price will normalize.

I'd recommend trying it out first to make sure its something you want to invest in. I gave it a whirl at my local microsoft store and it blew my mind, and I'm sure you could purchase it right there in store too if you wanted.
