Sadly I'm an iMac user, a beautiful 2015 27 inch 5k Retina iMac, BUT never the less, not suitable for VR. I've thought about picking up a system just for VR, BUT for now my Daydream is satisfactory. HOWEVER, Cale Hunt's blog about Alienware PC's really insipred me and got me thinking about PC systems again.

So I was wondering what's is your VR PC or choice? What's in your rig? What do you lust after? Anything you want to upgrade? Lets talk PC, VR rigs! Doesn't matter if you are a Rifter or a Viver (that the right terms??? lol) What's in you PC rig?

I would say build your own unless money is no object. It only takes a bit of research. Warning though it gets addictive.
Go intel unless you want to wait to see what Zen brings to the table next year.

If money were not an issue I for sure will buy a MSI GT83VR LAPTOP or an Acer Predator X21 laptop, even when those are pretty huge laptops not very portable I like the fact of having everything in one place and no cables messing around.

My computer is an AMD FX 9550, 16RAM, GTX 970 and you know, the Rift, it does pretty well, but I think the 970 is getting a hard time to give the most of the experiences.

If you have the time and the money the best option is always to make your own build, right now I don't care about CPU, but 32 RAM, M.2 SSD and a GTX 1080 will be very awesome.

Unless your motherboard chipset allows more than x16 Pcie lanes then an M.2 SSD will limit your GPU to x8. With something like a 1080 I have read it can have an effect, sometimes more than just a marginal one.

I had way more fun picking up the stuff and building my own. I got a ATI system that works well and I only spent 550 bucks on parts. It's still being air cooled because I don't have the spare money for a case. I think I'll start trying to ask for tips on my streams to buy another case.

I'm waiting for a new NZXT case and if I finally receive it I will for sure take some pictures because I hope it at least looks amazing.
