I assume the upcoming LG V20 will be compatible with the VR. Any chance of LG offering a free VR with the purchase of the V20, similar to Samsung? I think this would be a great sell for both the V20 and the VR with the current debacle that is the Note 7. Might get Note 7 owners, who would otherwise go with the S7 for the Gear VR experience.

I think it's possible, but it's more likely they'll stick to what they've done in the past and give spare batteries and chargers and/or the B&O headphones as they want to feature the audio quality.

I've not heard whether their LG 360 VR "friend" is compatible with the V20 (right now only the G5 listed) but if it were I would suspect they have a few left over. It's a shame that the V20 can't work with Daydream (being that they used an LCD screen and not AMOLED).
