I'm not sure what happened to cause it, but today, trying to open the Universal Menu by holding down the back button only brings up a menu to invite friends, with no option but to return to the currently running app.

Any idea to get it to the old behaviour?

same here. now i can't reorient the dam thing. someone really scewed this up.

I haven't used my headset in a few days, but this sounds strange. What app were you running? Maybe that app is coopting the shortcut somehow?

not sure if you figured it out but i uninstalled 'oculus' then reinstalled it (after connecting my phone back in the gear vr headset, it prompted me to remove phone to automatically install the program.) had to sign in with facebook again and viola... universal menu settings with all the perks.
