Anyone has any idea how much will it cost? Release date? Or the battery life on this thing?
This HMD is really going to change everything, just imagine tracking with no limits, don't have enough room space? No problem, just use the HMD outside in a controlled way.
Is this the code name for Oculus Go, the standalone Oculus headset?
No the santa cruz is a standalone full powered oculus rift. The Oculus go is basically a GearVr with a built in phone.
I would expect the santa cruz to be $600+ if it's as good as we hope. I think Russell got to play with it so he might know more

There's also Htc Focus, another standalone HMD with tracking, but they say the controllers only have 3 DoF, don't know exactly what that means in terms of moving it freely. Plus they're only going to sell it in China for starters.
