I didn't get the original ps4 skipped straight to the pro for xmas, dont regret it even though non-pro is cheaper.

Same here. I got the Pro and VR from GameStop at the same time. I don't regret it for a second.

Well I didn't get the Pro but at least mine was a real bargain I must say.

Back in the last topic, what I read is nothing will improve on the Pro until new updates and title came with the ability to recognize the Pro and take advantage of the new features.

While i would love to get one, i cant justify forking out the cash just to upgrade from my current PS4. I will probably just wait until the PS5 to get an upgrade.

For what I read the PS5 won't be around this year, but you know, so far it's just rumors, only Sony knows when they will release the next generation, maybe they are waiting the new Ryzen and Vega chips from AMD first.

Does anyone know how well VR works on a regular PS4 vs the Pro?

I played the Battlezone demo at a Sony kiosk before the PSVR was launched. I was very impressed how well it performed. It ran well on the PS4. I also saw a few other PSVR demos and they worked very well also.

I believe the first generation of games will be optimized for the PS4 will run well. PS4 Pro is still young but it is possible developers will look at offering a VR experience for the Pro only in the future because of the extra power it delivers.
