I think I read somewhere, one of the requirements is how hot the phone will get. This is why the Nexus 5x/6p aren't Daydream compatible; they get too hot when running which would make for an uncomfortable experience when inside the headset.

Right because it is very cpu intensive over an extended period of time. Not all phones can run full throttle for a long time without overheating.

Disappointing that the Nexus 6P won't be compatible. It's still a great phone, shame about the processor being a little out of spec.
