Between those two I think the best one is the Sony PSVR.

I'm also assuming by Samsung you are referring to the Gear VR.

The reason I will recommend you the PSVR is because that one have a more immersive experience, but you need to consider a lot of things before buying, like if you want portability maybe the Gear VR is better, or maybe you may save money because you already have a Samsung phone.

As Chemy JMHT said. I would also go with the PSVR. (PlayStation)
Not only will you have a gaming console but a VR headset as well!.

Its like 2 for the price of 1. Not really lol but still ^_^

That being said, if money is a factor. Instantly the choice changes to the Samsung Gear VR.
It still gives you a great experience but at a cheaper price point.

I think none of their recommendation is good, I don't get what was their real criteria, those headsets are not on my list even for that date.

Samsung Gear VR is really only worth it if you have a Galaxy S7. Otherwise I'd go with PlayStation VR.
