How and the HELL do I fix the issue? Please help!😎
Hi there! Couple of quick questions:
1) Which phone are you using?
2) Which apps are you using?
Now, for the most part, your phone is always going to get a little warmer in VR. You're using all of the parts that make your phone warm, and you're doing it in an enclosed space. To help decrease heat, you can leave the back plate off of the Gear VR so you can expose the phone to more air. You can also try closing apps on your phone because going into VR so there are fewer things running at the beginning of the experience. Make sure you aren't trying to charge your phone while doing things in VR, either.
I would proceed with caution with this next suggestion BUT I've heard of some folks using cooling gel packs on their phones after VR. Now of course you either DON'T want to freeze the packs OR if you do make sure not to put the phone RIGHT on the pack, use a towel. They can be found at your local drug store or at Amazon...

The nerdier option is to 3D print a clip that has a cooling fan with it's own Li-ion battery. I'm working on one right now.
It doesn't prevent heat buildup, but it does delay it considerably, especially on the Note 5.
This works for me.
Did you manage to complete the 3d printed case?
Yeah that is a nerdier but awesome option!!
Time for liquid cooling for VR headsets.
I'm still trying to design one that doesn't add a ton of weight.
No. S6edge plus owner here. Never had an issue. And it us bloody hot here atm.
My S6 overheats constantly and I get an overheat warning that doesn't let me continue until I let it cool down.

You're not using a Note 7 are you? Danger Will Robinson!
Which parts adding the weight? I'm guessing the battery
A couple days ago I read something here:
How To Stop Oculus App Draining Galaxy S7 Battery | Digital Trends
Hmm my S7E only gets up to about 104 F not very hot
Yes very quick
My s6 gets very warm, and vr smashes the battery very quickly
When I used the s7 edge, I noticed that it got pretty warm with usage. But it never over heated to the point of restarting the phone as with some other tasks
Didn't hear this one before... I will have to give it a try and test that theory of plugging in the VR headset while using to keep the phone cool.
Thanks
