    Welcome over!

I would agree, but PSVR and Vive have different audiences. OpenVR means that many experiences can be designed for Vive, including virtual desktops, movies, pics, and games. PSVR is handcuffed to the fact it is a PlayStation product, and therefore will always be known as a games first device.

They really are two different things, but if you were to compare them directly, the Vive is a much better package. The Vive uses infrared tracking, so it doesn't need light to work. It's also been completely designed for VR. Meanwhile the PSVR's camera and controls were never designed for VR. I've heard mixed reports with the PSVR's performance. Some people are saying they've had no tracking issues, some people are saying their experience has been straight up broken. I think you have to have a pretty specific setup since PSVR is using light from the controllers and headset to track.

It's a bummer. I was really hoping Sony's setup would smash it out of the park. The better they do, the better we all do.
