The only one I could afford probably would be the LG, HOWEVER they weren't as expensive in general as I thought they'd be. Looks like around 400 is the sweet spot.

If only the Gear 360 worked with more phones. It almost looks like one of those little robots from Portal.

I feel that being an early adopter this time would be I'll advised. I will wait for second gen... Oe devices that are made for VR, like the Pixel XL.

This. I have to believe that in a year or two, the 360 camera tech will advance exponentially. There's just two many caveats with the current offerings.

I'm of the opinion that the best way to do it is to still use a DSLR and have a program stich them up. I'm looking at a new 8mm fisheye just for that purpose.
