My S6 does a strange autofocus thing where it can't get a good image immediately and the camera makes a buzzing sound, so not really. I am not sure if this is a setting I can disable; it seems intentional, as the camera image is given an obviously artificial wavy look.

At least where I live people are playing Pokemon go wherever I go. So it's not super weird to use the AR camera. I've met multiple people just playing the game but the AR camera could be a little better.

When I started I was using the AR all the time, but now I only turn it on to take silly pictures now and then.

Yeah, I turned AR off pretty quickly after I realized it was responsible for many of the crashes, bit now I'll pop it on real quick to grab a funny photo or two. Camera quality still is kinda weird for me. (OnePlus 3)

I have the A/R off.
The compass is quite sensitive around metal objects such as building frames, or vehicles.
