Kind of an odd question, but bear with me a minute.

When you put your VR headset on to try a new app or game, regardless of which it is, what's the first thing you do?

I stop and look around, absorbing the world created by the developer. I look at the way dust motes are used for depth, the way the skyline (or lack thereof) was implemented, and I move around a little too really take it all in. I think that initial experience is important, and I love how much detail some experiences have in
    those first moments.

    How about you?

Check out the guise my controllers have taken or the interior of the cockpit.
Look around to gauge image clarity.
    Check graphics settings regardless.

For me, the first time I play a game, I take the time to look around the environment and imagine this is what my character sees at their perspective.

Then I am awe thinking that I am "in" a videogame!

I focus it, then twiddle with the game pad to see if it works with the app.
If everything checks out, the headphones go on, and I'm outta here.
