I know that ergonomics has greatly improved and I read the review of Homido V2 on vrheads. But Homido VR is available on ebay to 45 (shipping included) and I am not sure why I should give an extra 25 to get V2.

I read the same blog, which is here, and that seems to be the main thing, ergonomics, it's bigger, and much more comfortable. Function wise they are pretty much the same, as the blog says, "a souped up google cardboard".

    Here's a good YouTube of the V1....

The big difference between the two is size and comfort. I've used both the V1 and the V2. In terms of features etc, there isn't much of a difference at all. When it comes to how comfortable the headset is to wear, especially for extended periods of time, there is a huge difference. The V2 is larger, sits easier on your face, and for me didn't cause any pressure or discomfort along my nose.

I'm not sure the V2 is necessarily worth that much extra in money. However, it's about what matters the most to you. If you're willing to spend a bit of extra money in order to having a more comfortable experience, and one that is easier on your face when in VR for extended amounts of time I'd say go for the V2. If you're more concerned with the hit to your wallet, then the V1 should work out just fine.

Additionally I saw some complaints on the Amazon reviews about accessing the headphones port on the V2 model on some phones, it would appear this is a total NON issues on V1. And of course if you use bluetooth its also a non issue.
