My older brother has autism and mild downs or turners (I dont ask about it to keep him calm) because of this he doesn't leave his room/the house very often but his birthday is coming up he is very into his art, figures and games from when he was younger. So far as birthday/christmas presents I've bought him a ps2 ps3 smart phone and tablet so I figured the next thing to get him would be another console but then saw the VR headsets etc so was wondering wether it would be a suitable present for him and if so what would you recommend buying for him? Thank you

I think VR is a great gift! What kind of computer does he have? Does he have a PS4? And what kind of phone?

A good options is the Oculus Go, which does not require anything, well except a smart phone to set it up, but that is a one time thing. If he has a PC that is “VR Ready” then you can get him an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. Also a Windows Mixed Reality headset. If he has a late model Samsung phone, then the Gear VR would work. Certain other phones like the Pixel line, Samsung S8 or greater, LG V30, and a few others then the Google Daydream is a good option. Finally the PSVR works with the PS4.

My recommendation would be the Oculus Go, it works great, doesn’t require a special phone or PC, and it’s a very reasonable 200 dollars!

I agree on the oculus go. If he like art there are drawing apps in oculus go (and not only). That he can have a lot of fun with.
