Hi there yall! I was wondering if i could do vr ( with a gtx 1050 ti, i5-4460 and 8gb of ddr3 ram ). I ran the steam vr benchmark and it said my computer was ''capable'' ( not ready tho). I guess this means that i can handle the vive o oculus headsets but i should expect some frame drops. Heres my question: Are the windows mixed reality headsets (WMR) harder to run than the htc vive/oculus? I mean, WMR has a higer resolution than both the vive and oculus.

From what I have heard, you CAN get by with less of a PC with WMR. Here's a VRHeads blog that covers this very issue....

Hi, welcome to the forum, I invite you to register so you can follow up this and any other question you might have.

As PKCable said, the requirements are not as high as those for the Oculus Rift, HTC ViVE and PiMAX Headsets, but those aren't capable to be used for all the experiences available on VR, that's something which usually happens among the different brands, the Oculus apps are not plain compatible with the HTC or Google devices, there are some ways to make it work, but not always easy ways.
