    Hi there,
I am developing a project for 360º streaming videos on a Conservation Unit. We need a VR Headset for reproducing these videos only - though we'd appreciate providing the best quality experience.

I feel goggles like Oculus Rift or HTC Vive are just too much for our purpose.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Not quite sure if you're looking for a headset to provide the end users with or a headset to develop on. If the former, I think you can just make sure the video is available on services all the major headsets use and you'll be good. If the latter, That depends on your needs and requirements; going with the basic Cardboard headsets, you can view 360 degree video, but the video quality gets better as you move up to Daydream/Gear VR and then PC-based VR. The head tracking improves as you move up that ladder also. If you're not doing any fancy tricks with the video that require more accurate tracking or rendering, then aiming at Cardboard/mobile VR should suffice for testing purposes.

Also, feel free to join the forum. We don't bite and can be very helpful.
