I have been looking on amazon and have come across reviews of people stating this cable isn't VESA compliant. "It has been feeding 3 volts to my GPU through an active 20th pin".
They go on to say that the only VESA compliant cable is made by Accell.
I checked the VESA website and sure enough it's the only brand listed of that cable type.
I'm wondering if this is just a scare tactic to push people towards that brand.
The Accell cable's build quality doesn't look all that great and is white which isn't ideal. Costs a bit more too.
Surely if it's stated as display port 1.2 compatible that should be enough.
Anyone have any electrical expertise that's able to clear this up or experience with this type of cable?
