    and play VR games with it installed there? i've tried connecting with bluetooth but my PC can't find the controller and bluetooth is turned on for both

    That's an interesting question. I don't know. I suspect, given that the controller doesn't do anything with the phone unless it's in VR mode, that it might not be possible. But someone out there might have found a hack to let you do just that. You never know.
