    I just noticed that this app is turned On in Settings -> Apps -> Gear icon -> Special access -> VR helper services on my Nexus 6 (running the N DP5).

    Since the N6 isn't Daydream-ready and I don't even own a Google Cardboard, should I just turn the app Off?

    Actually, I'll probably wait until the stable N build shows up to do anything, but I'm thinking the app's probably got nothing to do.

    I shut down any apps running in the background that I don't use..

    Unless you plan to run Cardboard, it isn't necessary for normal use.
