    If I have 2 high-end video graphics cards 1080, one dedicated to running monitor(s) and the other dedicated to running VR device and they are not linked. Reason surrounding viewers can watch the game while player using VR in the game.

    Technically I think that would work as long as they're not linked. It is possible to mirror to your monitor with just one GPU, however, and would be less pricey.
